Four moon missions failed in four years:
The whole world is watching this landing of ISRO. This is happening at a time when the Russian Moon Mission Luna-25 failed recently. Three of the four missions sent to the moon between 2019 and 2023 have failed.
Among them, Israel’s Beresheet, Japan’s Hakuto-R, India’s Chandrayaan-2, and Russia’s Luna-25 failed. Only China’s Chang-5 managed to land successfully on the moon.
With the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, India will join the club of special countries. So far only the US, Soviet Union (East), and China have successfully landed on the moon. India will be the fourth country in the world to do so.
