There is also a question that if for some reason the lander was not able to land on the moon on August 23, then what will happen next? In such a situation, Chandrayaan will have to wait for about a month for landing again and till then it will be kept in moon orbit. One day on the moon is equal to 29 days on earth.

That means 14 days a day and 14 days a night. A day there is not 24 hours but 708.3 hours. The moon is dark at the moment and the moon will shine here on August 23. In this case, if Chandrayaan-3 is not able to land on the moon on August 23, then it will have to wait for 29 days.
