The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on 14 July 2023 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. As the lander of the Chandrayaan-3 mission landed on the surface of the moon on Wednesday, the whole of India erupted with joy. This achievement of India was discussed all over the world.

After the success of the mission, PM Modi called ISRO Chairman S Somnath from Johannesburg and congratulated him on the success of the mission and said that if possible, he would soon come to the ISRO headquarters and meet the entire team. The Prime Minister is currently on a visit to South Africa to attend the BRICS Summit.
